Make sure you check out the new tunnel under Traverse Ridge road that connects Corner Canyon with the Traverse Ridge Open Space. It's about halfway up Traverse Ridge, just above Potato Hill, if you know where that is. This will allow hikers, joggers, horseback riders, and bikers to connect from the Corner Canyon trail system with the Traverse Ridge trail system without having to cross the busy Traverse Ridge highway.

We hope you enjoy the many benches that the South Mountain Homeowners Association has placed on some of the sidewalks and trails in South Mountain. There are some on Vestry Road, Laney's Way, the trail above Highland Drive near the fire station that leads to the park by the pool, and plans for some at the Coyote Hollow trailhead and the Red Rock trailhead. These benches and concret pads were paid for by your monthly dues!

We have a new directional sign on Rambling road as you approach the roundabout by Mike Weir. It has directions to the LDS Temple, trail heads, the golf course, and Village on the Green.

Development News - The Cinemark Theatres are scheduled to open in Draper on Memorial Day weekend. They're down by the waterpark.

Christophers Steakhouse is scheduled to open the week of February 21st. They are located in in the strip mall on 123rd South and 1300 East, on the west end.

UTA has started construction on the TRAX project. There will be stops at 114th South and 700 East, and in the Town Center area of Draper by the IFA.

A new Corner Canyon Trails map is available for purchase at City Hall. It is a waterproof and tear-resistant map, with updated trails. The cost is $3 for this special map. The regular maps are still free, and available at City Hall as well as many of the trailheads.

The Draper Recreation Department is holding a free Candy Cane hunt at Draper Historic Park (that's the one with the big gazeebo), December 20th at 4:30 PM. It's for kids age 3-6 years old. Santa will be there!

On Thanksgiving morning, why not burn some calories by running in the Utah Human Race? It starts at 8:00 AM Thanksgiving morning at the Draper Factory Outlet. And, it benefits the Utah Food Bank. Register here.

The Draper Amphitheatre is scheduled to be completed in December of 2009, and the grand opening will be early July 2010, with the Utah Symphony!

Check out the new Canyon Hollow trail at the top of Clark's trail. It features 2 miles of downhill, and 2 1/2 more miles to be added this summer.

Mark your calendars for Draper Trail Days, which will be held June 5th, 2010!
